External factors are key drivers of how I perform my role as a people professional. Some of such factors are the legislative changes, economic conditions, technological development, as well as the social trends. Implementing the new HR software systems or a digital platform for recruitment as well as training empowers me to develop new skills and knowledge. And through technology embracement, I can optimize reports and provide accurate and adaptable human resources services.
Social trends also have an impact on my work position. For instance, the increasing attention to employees’ work-life balance and well-being help me to develop policies and activities that cater to employees’ needs in all facets. Moreover, social changes in perceptions about diversity and inclusion dictate that the organisation should design and implement inclusive practices and policies within the organisation.
External factors like legislation, economic conditions, technological advancement, and social trends have a significant impact on my work role as a people professional. Thus, staying updated and adapting to these factors will enable me to contribute to the success of the organisation.
