The purpose of the audit is to deeply understand the status of wellbeing within your organisation (or an organisation of your choice). You are therefore expected to conduct some research to establish a deeper level of awareness around your organisation’ wellbeing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
During the unit, you will be provided with an overview of the theories and practices that contribute to a healthy workplace, you may like to utilise some of these theories to audit your own organisation. Along with reflecting on your organisation’s wellbeing holistically, within your own analysis, in particular, you may like to consider:
- Employee wellbeing surveys;
- Employee engagement surveys;
- Absence statistics;
- Wellbeing strategies/working groups;
- Wellbeing policy and practices;
- Retention rates;
- Disciplinary and grievance statistics;
- Your organisations’ tribunal cases;
- Leader/employee opinions of wellbeing and the impact on organisational culture
Following the wellbeing audit, as part of your wellbeing case study, you will have the opportunity to think about the strengths and weaknesses of wellbeing in your organisation and make recommendations for improvement, in order to drive improvements in employee well-being and engagement.
The intention of the wellbeing audit is to get a pulse of the stage of development for wellbeing in your organisation in relation to the aspirational recommendations you may like to consider following the unit.
